A surprise
I was hesitant to rent this one, but it was worth it! I can't say that I loved the movie, yet something about it stuck with me and lingered in my thoughts for several days after. The characters were relatable and felt very real to me, as if they were people I might bump into on any given day. There is a lot of beautiful cinematography and nuance in this film. -A great watch.
The Journey
Visually stunning film weighing in on the possibilities and consequences of living one's life as an unfolding path to points unknown. Not particularly original or profound in how this tension is presented, but captivating for its hot people, locations, soundtrack, and reminder of why you need a vacation.
Unique & Stunning
I was drawn to this movie despite the not so great reviews...but I am definitely giving it the first 5 stars! Not only was it visually unique and breathtaking, the characters made you feel as if you were entwined in their lives as their love for each other surfaced. This movie takes on the question of monogamy or allowing yourself to be open to the many different forms of love that come in your life. As Kat said while choosing a bottle of wine from the enormous wine cellar, "Can we really have whichever one we want..and as many as we want? Is it possible to have too many choices or what about just one really, really good one?" I LOVED this movie!!
