Get A Job an excellant buddy film
This is really a terrific Hawaiian buddy film. I did not know Etic Gilliom before this film but he is an excellent actor and musician with substantial quality film and stage credits. Willie K basically plays himself, which is pretty wonderful. I suggest people look at Willie K and Eric Gilliom and the Barefoot Natives on YouTube. It will make you want to see Get a Job immediately.
Frankly, Get A Job, even for a low budget film is well worth viewing. If enough people see this film I am sure it will result in a higher budget sequel, maybe with Cheech and Chong.

Slapstick Comedy with Awesome Hawaiian Contemporary Music
This is a crazy, silly slapstick comedy starring two of Hawaii's top contemporary musicians. Everyone with ties to Hawai'i is going to get a laugh from it. Those who can't understand pidgin might miss some of the jokes but a lot of the comedy is physical so fun anyway.
It also has Augie T who is a very popular Hawai'i comedian.
Willie K has an amazing voice and is very popular although losing popularity on Maui since he started supporting the sugarcane burning that is turning Maui into the Land of Mordor 9 months out of the year.
Eric Gilliom comes from a musical family (he is Amy Hanaiali'i Gilliom's brother) and is a very popular contemporary Hawaiian musician.
The story revolves around Eric's character, an amiable naif trying out various jobs and having misadventures. It is upbeat and leaves you happy and laughing.
Highly recommended
This is the movie for everyone who loves Hawai'i and its people. A nice and funny story about friendship and solidarity. Great humor, great music!I enjoyed it a lot.
